It’s time to head to the banks of the Green River to celebrate the source of life that gave the town its name. Holiday River Expeditions is happy to partner with Green River City and the John Wesley Powell River History Museum to join in the inaugural fun of the Swell River Festival.
This one day Westwater Canyon Colorado River rafting trip is happening August 8th and will be a great way to get a taste of a true wilderness river trip. Float eighteen miles of the Colorado River through Westwater Canyon and tackle some super-soaker Class III and IV whitewater rapids.
Just due east of the town of Green River, Utah, this canyon will transport you through some of Utah’s most striking back-country, but have you back in time for the Swell River Fest Party later that evening. Experience the peace of a floating on a raft & the thrill of the rapids heartbeat. Stop on a sandy beach or colorful cobble bar and enjoy a delicious and fresh lunch. There are great opportunities for wildlife sighting, too, including bald eagles, cliff swallows, great blue herons, bighorn sheep, beavers, river otters & other critters.
