Does anyone else panic every year when November hits and you start seeing holiday decorations everywhere and hearing about what deals will be offered during Black Friday? Shopping for loved ones can feel daunting, trying to find the perfect gift that shows thoughtfulness. This holiday season, we challenge you to shop for items from local businesses or artists or give the gift of adventure and experience.
Here are some ideas for your holiday shopping this year!
The Gift of Adventure
Consider booking a trip with Holiday River and give someone special the gift of Adventure! With a variety of adrenaline-packed adventures to choose from, Utah is the ultimate destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Trips range from 2 to 12 days and run through the heart of Canyonlands National Park, Dinosaur National Monument, and designated wilderness areas of the San Rafael Swell and BLM land. Experience the Colorado, Green, Yampa, and San Juan rivers in professionally guided oar rafts with delicious healthful meals, inflatable kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards, or hop on your mountain bike and pedal through the desert for a fully supported adventure!
Ken Sanders Rare Books is an antiquarian bookstore with used, new, and rare books in downtown Salt Lake City. Open since 1990, they specialize in Western Americana, with emphases on the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River, and various National Parks. Purchase a well-loved pre-owned book or a gift certificate and support one of our favorite bookstores in the city!
We are BIG fans of Party Shirt International. So much so, we asked them to help us design our Holiday River “Boaters Paradise” shirt. These shirts are made from stretch tech fabric that is perfect for any adventure and PSI’s mission is simply to make people happy while giving back to various non-profit organizations.
