Friday Feedback: The guides are beyond fabulous!!

We called several times with questions as to what to bring, etc. and found the Holiday representative who answered the phone to be friendly and very helpful. Our guides, Russ Sly and Derek Farr, were amazing. They kept it fun, safe and made it a memorable trip for us. We had to start 17 miles upstream from the normal put in point because of a forest fire, but that didn’t deter them. They took the changes in stride…even when we had to move our first campsite after it was all set up. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful and the transportation to and from the river was great. Frogg, who drove us both ways, was very entertaining. We enjoyed all the activities although we didn’t hike much…probably because we were too busy doing other things. We were sorry that we couldn’t swim in the hot springs as we had been looking forward to that but apparently they were too hot. An absolutely wonderful family vacation!

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! This was my 3rd trip with Holiday and did not disappoint. The guides are beyond fabulous and the food was spectacular. Already planning on another trip for next year, perhaps two. Keep up the good work and GO WITH THE FLOW!

Dave and Justin are the best I have been in customer services for all of my career . I’m harsh critic , I give them 5 stars . The food was fantastic, although David was injured helping other campers, he showed great patience, understanding, and kindness to me throughout the entire trip.

Tammy is always very helpful. This summer I completed my 4th river trip. All have been well done and a real blast. I travel with a camper trailer and Tim let me put it in the Holiday , fenced in yard , in Green River. This was very much appreciated , by me , for peace of mind , while on the river. Thanks again.

Karen Johnson was an excellent trip planner. Thanks for putting us in with a great group of people. Karen answered all my questions quickly and provided all the information I needed to get ready for my trip. Love the pictures and the blog! The guides were faboulous!! Dave, Leland, Julian, and Justin took such good care of us. I felt like I was on a luxery vacation. Their knowledge of the area was vast and they shared some great stories with us. The hikes were an added bonus, even the one to the Doll House that was very challenging. The food was excellent, prepared and served so beautifully. What a treat to have so much fresh fruit. This trip was one of the best vacations I’ve had. Every detail of was well planned and it made for a truly relaxing time. Th e guides were so wonderful to all of us, and very entertaining too! I hope to return next year for another adventure.

Kerry and Peter were wonderful guides and hosts. Providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our family was their entire focus. Food and service were above and beyond; everything exceeded our expectations. I learned so much about this beautiful place. I never gave much thought to Lodore Canyon or Dinosaur National Monument before, but now this place will always be close to my heart. Thanks for a most memorable time.
