I just returned from your 5 day Colorado River trip through Cataract Canyon trip, and would like to share some thoughts with you.
First of all, the trip was fantastic. Rick Coriell and Matt worked their butts off literally from sunrise to sunset to ensure a pleasurable experience for all. Rick, in addition to being a historian, botanist, geologist and overall wealth of knowledge, was as charming and gracious a host as anyone could ask for.
And that’s all before we get to his boatmanship, which was superb. Our run through the rapids was absolutely the most exciting thing I have ever done. In spite of the obvious risk involved in such big water, I never felt as though I was in any danger thanks to the expert handling of the boat by Rick and Matt.
Then there was the food. The menu was varied, restaurant quality, fresh and plentiful. I was amazed at the “soup to nuts” treatment in such a remote and wild location.
Finally, I would like to commend you for your eco-friendly approach to every aspect of the trip. I would also say that traveling the river under manpower in an oar boat, rather than motoring, is definitely the way to go. After hearing other motorized trips and seeing the way they traversed the rapids as apposed to the way we did, I concluded that we had chosen the right company.
Thank you for providing a wonderful experience. I will definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a rafting trip, and my fiance and I WILL be booking another trip with you down the road.
