Currents of Change – Transitions in the Office
December 16, 2014

Tammy & Karen on the River Sept 2014
Currents of change have found their way from the river canyons to our cozy Holiday River office; Tammy Holladay Jones our 27 year Trip Director and life long Holiday river runner will be leaving at year’s end for an exciting new adventure working for Utah Paperbox right here in Salt Lake City.
Trained by her mom and Holiday River founder Sue Holladay, she embodied the company’s guest service ethos every day. She is the master of funneling the myriad of guest details into a clear, cohesive trip manifest that the Holiday guides use to prepare for a successful trip in the wilderness canyons of the Colorado River. We will miss her but she will not be far away. We even hope she will spend more time out in the river canyons enjoying the best part of what we do.

Moving forward (or downstream) Lauren Wood, Holiday River founders Dee/Sue Holladay’s granddaughter and current Holiday River owners, John and Jan Wood’s daughter is going to ‘train-up’ into the Trip Director position. Lauren has run the Holiday rivers since she was 2 years old and worked as a guide for the last 6 years. She brings the energy of youth and a fearless passion to her work.

Young Tammy on the river
The river of life is rolling and tumbling and constantly feeling the Currents of Change; you can be sure your friends at Holiday River will be ‘going with the flow’ and constantly improving, innovating and training all in hopes that our guests will continue to share their valuable vacation time on the wilderness rivers with us.
Go with the flow,
John Wood
We are going to miss you!
