My wife and I just completed your Lodore Canyon raft trip. We did this trip at the invitation of friends who live near Dallas, Texas. They had rafted with you eighteen years ago. We had accepted the invitation with much trepidation. We are active 57-year-olds but not athletes. We had not been outdoor campers and my wife wears strong contact lenses.

We couldn't have been more astonished at the contrast between our pre-trip concerns and our total enjoyment of the reality. All we could talk about during the final miles of Split Mountain was how soon we could do it again, with whom, and what other trips. It was a terrific combination of a sense of adventure on the river, a sense of wonder at the canyon formations, a feeling of being pampered by the staff, and just plain fun.

Our trip leader was Troy, assisted by Shelly, Chris, Jamie, and Rusty. It's a compliment to your training and their team effort that things were handled so smoothly. We marveled that after constant rowing, they could still show enthusiasm for meal preparation or even hiking. Their good spirits caused a rapid sense of community within the group that made every activity a pleasure.

We all thought it symbolic of Holiday Expeditions' total commitment when, after the last lunch of the last day, our crew brought out a huge bag of candy bars for dessert. There was never a let down.
